Thanksgiving is a very special holiday.
No decorations and presents just time spent with the people who mean the most to you sharing a long-anticipated meal most important for what it represents - the love shared between family and friends.
For children who have been removed from their homes, however, Thanksgiving can be particularly difficult. These children will have a special meal, but many won't share it with their family and long-time friends.
It is because of this that we are especially appreciative of you, our very thoughtful supporters. Already we are receiving calls from individuals, churches and organizations. Their question: What do the children need?
Our answer is YOU. Showing our children that you care, particularly during the holiday season, is exactly what they need. Through your efforts and support, Niles teams a great meal and the support of caring staff with a myriad of activities that the children enjoy during the days leading up to and following Thanksgiving.
As a famous movie character once said, "There's no place like home." At Niles Home for Children, we recognize that. As such, we work diligently to help parents and caregivers provide safe, loving homes for children. But for those who have to be away from home and entrusted to our care, there is no place like Niles Home for Children. Thank you for helping us to make it special.
All of us at Niles wish you and your family every blessing at Thanksgiving!
